U8s - Match Report

Good Team Performance

(Liz Greening 02/10/2017)

Congleton Rovers JFC U8s  Vs  Youthkicks   (Score Withheld)

(Match Date: Saturday 30th September 2017)
The Rovers boys all played well this morning and gave an impressive performance in all 3 games.

In game one Rovers got off to a flying start with Lewis scoring with the first attack of the game. Youthkicks then took the initiative and scored a number of goals without reply. Archie and Thomas played with great energy to stop Youthkicks scoring even more and soon Rovers were back on the score sheet with Freddie, Sam and Ol scoring three great goals before Freddie scored a second finishing off some great team play. In the final minutes with Rovers on all out attack Jack, pulled off a couple of great saves.

In game two Rovers had a great first half with George scoring 4 great goals, supported by the endless running of Gabriel and Max. Dan and Louie playing in goals and defence kept the home team at bay. Youthkicks came back into the game in the second half despite some great defending by Oscar.

In game 3 Luca made some impressive saves...even if one was with his nose! Jacob and Stan did some amazing runs and are passing well across the team and Rhys was finding a space well to get a goal for the team. Aiden and Rowan did some fantastic footwork and did everyone proud and Stanley scored a second for Rovers midway through the second half. Their listening skills in training are really paying off in the matches.
