THE SEASON KICKS OFF!
We're playing the remnants of Sandbachs Eagles and United team. We know they can play - they beat us twice last year!
Meet at the pitch at 11:15, we kick off when the 10:30 game finishes.
Let's have a good game and get the season off to a positive start. Our strip for this game will be YELLOW SHIRTS, BLUE SHORTS, WHITE SOCKS. The game will be played at Congleton High School
Sandbach game...
Scoring 4 goals should have been enough to win... but conceding 6 into our own net!!! It's like we're U11s again!
OK when your goal keeper and centre half decide they're not turning up for the 1st game of the season it can be a bit disruptive, but never the less, "keep it tight at the back"... we didn't!
The passing and team work left a a lot of room for improvement as we continued to give the ball away far too cheaply, especially in defence/midfield; putting ourselves under more pressure than we needed to.
On a positive note, the attacking was outstanding and the finishing on occassions sublime. But that counts for nothing when you lose the match.
We have to fix the defensive issues and get this season back on track by next week! Training...
We need to build up our fitness levels and work on passing and team work.
Training starts as normal from 5:45pm (feel free to get there sooner) till 7pm ish Season 2010-11 - NEWS
Next season it's going to be just 2 divisions and we're in division 2.
That means we should have a much longer season, and we'll also we should be one of the stronger teams in the division. So there's something to focus on!
